Mmm, Coffee

So, the other night, a few people were at our house drinking some coffee. Levi loves to smell coffee. He has been smelling it for a while. That night, he kept asking for some coffee to drink. We kept saying "No, coffee is for grownups." He kept asking and our dear friend, Sonja, suggested that we let him try it. He would most certainly hate it and never ask for it again. Daddy concurred saying that he would surely spit it out all over the floor. So, the plan was enacted. Us brilliant grownups decided to teach the naive child a hilarious lesson. Well, turns out that we are not as smart as we think. The boy likes coffee. He took several drinks and then cried as Mommy took that coffee away. Great.

I'm a terrible friend for putting that idea in your heads. I'm soooooo sorry!! Even I, the coffee fanatic, who ate coffee BEANS at age 3, did not like black coffee when I was young. I am so very very sorry. Such a bad friend to young Levi.

Well, it sounded like a good plan to me. I never would have expected him to like the taste. But now that you know that... maybe you can leverage that to get him to eat other stuff... coffee flavored ice cream, coffee flavored pudding, coffee flavored brownies, coffee flavored soup... the possibilties are endless.

But seriously, maybe there is a way to use this enjoyment of coffee in a positive way.
