Death of a Pumpkin

Last weekend, and an incredibly beautiful weekend it was, we went way out into Virginia to go to Cox Farms. Cox Farms is a pretty cool place that's open every fall and they have lots of pumpkins and stuff. This last weekend was the last weekend they were open, which means.....time to get rid of all the pumpkins! There was a trebuchet that launched pumpkins several hundred feet into the lake. But by far Levi's favorite thing was the guy who lifted a bunch of pumpkins sixty feet into the air on a manlift and dropped them SMASH! onto a cement pad. Some were even filled with mustard, or applesauce or jelly. It was sweet, literally! We were there with some people from church and some kids from FACETS, but enough talk, let's see some pictures!

Levi playing on the hay house with Diana! FUN FUN FUN!

Maybe Levi doesn't want to be a mouse....

Ah, the hayride. Levi would do this all day, every day if he could.

Daddy and Levi. Just hanging out.

great pics

had to wince at the waste of all that pumpkin goodness. I usually cook mine down for use in breads & pies after the holiday goes by.
